Caney Fork Electric Cooperative

McMinnville, Tennessee

25,000 SQUARE FEET

Cooperative Building Solutions recently completed a new headquarters facility at Caney Fork Electric Cooperative (CFEC) in McMinnville, Tennessee. CFEC proudly serves the communities of DeKalb, Warren, White, and Van Buren counties in Middle Tennessee, with select services extending beyond these areas. The cooperative maintains over 4,089 miles of electric distribution lines, delivering power to 35,104 services, including 28,988 residential members.

CBS constructed the new development directly on the original CFEC site. Built in 1963, the original facility showed signs of aging and was in need of improved infrastructure and operational efficiency to better serve its members and staff. In addition to the main building construction, renovations were made to the existing warehouse and trailer storage area.

With the new development, CFEC employees can now enjoy an improved work environment which includes expanded office space, break rooms, a locker room, and enhanced security. Members can take advantage of many new amenities and building features, including a convenient drive-thru, member engagement rooms, and an auditorium. Throughout the building, there are reminders of the rich history of CFEC, including a mural wall and photographs of past board members and community events.
