Cooperative Building Solutions is thrilled to announce the completion of a new district office at Navopache Electric Cooperative (NEC) in Lakeside, Arizona. After more than 60 years at their previous location, NEC officially opened the doors of its new campus on February 10, 2025. Established in 1946, NEC serves over 37,000 members and 44,000 meters across the White Mountains of eastern Arizona and western New Mexico. Their extensive service territory covers approximately 10,000 square miles and includes 3,500 miles of line. 

NEC's objective with the new development was to relocate to an upgraded facility to improve overall business functionality, accommodate current capacity needs, and provide adequate space for future expansion. They also needed to work next to and in conjunction with their existing warehouse and maintenance buildings. 

After completing a comprehensive Facility Planning Study, the CBS team moved forward with design and construction of a new office building, multiple vehicle storage facilities, and additional sitework including entrance gates, parking lots, concrete aprons, and an aggregate laydown yard. The project finished on time and was completed within the client's budget.
