    Position Summary

    The Superintendent is responsible for the overall success of the project, including cost, schedule and execution, people/team development, relationship building, safety and quality. Specifically, this position is accountable for on-site coordination for all project phases, including subcontractors, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are followed, and that work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. We are hiring for a Superintendent that is open to travel. Job site locations include Lexington, NC, Putnam County, OH, Cando, North Dakota, St. Louis, MO.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain a deep understanding of the project cost book to ensure accurate financial tracking.

    • Drive baseline achievement and actively work to maximize project profitability.

    • Manage subcontractor scopes of work to minimize additional costs and control budget deviations.

    • Collaborate with the Project Manager to promptly resolve additional costs and disputed items (e.g., extra tickets, subcontractor overtime, change orders).

    • Ensure adherence to General Conditions while maintaining budgets and optimizing project labor plans to maximize cost savings.

    • Assist in developing and implementing an accurate baseline schedule, ensuring timely project completion.

    • Identify potential schedule risks early and develop proactive action plans to mitigate negative impacts.

    • Take ownership of project sequencing, logic, flow, duration, and activity management, ensuring weekly schedule updates reflect progress and adjustments.

    • Optimize self-performed work to enhance efficiency and profitability.

    • Embrace and adopt technology to improve project tracking, reporting, and operational efficiency.

    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships internally and externally to foster collaboration and position the company for future opportunities.

    • Ensure strict adherence to CBS’s safety and quality control protocols, conducting daily safety audits and engaging safety and quality managers when necessary.

    • Uphold compliance with project specifications and documentation to ensure quality workmanship.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • 5-10 years of experience in construction supervision, project management, or a related role.

    • Experience managing projects ranging from $10M - $35M is highly preferred.

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to work on-site daily and travel to different project locations as needed.

    • Capacity to stand, walk, and work in outdoor environments for extended periods.

    • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials or equipment as required by the job.

    Position Summary

    We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team! This position is responsible for supporting the accounting functions of the company to include financial reporting, project accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work closely with project managers and senior management to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

    Responsibilities

    • Process subcontractor payables from start to finish; set up contract, enter invoices, manage approvals

    • Research and respond in a timely manner to payment inquiries from subcontractors and Suppliers

    • Prepare and execute joint check agreements

    • Coordinate with compliance on lien waivers per owner requirements

    • Assist project controller with preparing monthly billings and reconciling job cost errors

    • Facilitate with new project set up

    • Oversee and manage the record keeping for all contractor and business licensing

    • Prepare special tax filings for state requirements; gross receipts tax, sales & use tax, etc.

    • Responsible for Secretary of State filings

    • Process and manage non subcontractor payables (overhead and material invoices)

    • Prepare annual 1099’s

    • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes (bank recs, balance sheet recs, etc.)

    • Record cash receipts daily

    • Prepare weekly past due A/R report

    • Evaluate current processes, identify best practices, and implement process improvements to reduce time, improve accuracy, and generate

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

    • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry
