After successfully partnering with Medina Electric Cooperative (EC) on the development of their headquarters and district office, CBS was proud to collaborate with the cooperative once again - this time to design and build their new Operations Center in Hondo, Texas.

Founded in 1938, Medina EC serves more than 18,000 members across over 36,000 meters and maintains more than 10,000 miles of line throughout a 10,750 square-mile region in South Texas. As the cooperative experienced continued growth, the need arose to expand the Operations Center to better support logistics with the TEC warehouse, increase vehicle storage, add employee parking and office space, and enhance member-facing areas.

Following a comprehensive Facility Planning Study, CBS designed and delivered a new 10,500 square foot warehouse and a 10,000 square foot vehicle storage facility, along with conversion of the existing warehouse into renovated office space. The project was completed on schedule, allowing Medina EC staff to maintain daily operations seamlessly throughout construction.
