Chris Meyers Joins the Cooperative Building Solutions Team as Regional Vice President
Cooperative Building Solutions is thrilled to announce that Chris Meyers has joined the organization as Regional Vice President. In this role, Chris is responsible for strategic planning, operations oversight, and business development for the company.
For over 40 years, Chris has been closely involved in electric utility business. Prior to joining CBS, he spent 15 years as CEO of the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives (OAEC), where he was responsible for Federal and State regulatory and legislative efforts, safety training, Energize Credit Union, and a self-insured worker’s comp plan. While at OAEC, Chris completed 7 international projects in Bolivia and Guatemala, where he worked to bring electricity to remote villages. In addition to his time at OAEC, he held various positions in engineering, account management, operations, and legislative affairs with an investor-owned utility.
Chris graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He later earned a Master’s in Business Administration from Oklahoma University and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Oklahoma.
He serves on the Oklahoma Academy for State Goals Board, the board for Rural Enterprises Inc., and is a previous board member of the Grand River Damn Authority Board. Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, and loves outdoor activities.
