In 2009, Gary Hobson founded Cooperative Building Solutions with current President, Tim Masa, after both leaders recognized the need for a consistent, reliable team to support electric cooperatives with their design-build projects. As Chairman of CBS, Gary provides oversight for corporate strategy and operations, client relationship support, and talent development.

Throughout his 50+ year career in the rural electric cooperative industry, Gary has provided leadership in several rural electric organizations including two distribution cooperatives, NISC, NRECA, CFC, NRTC, statewide, generation and transmission cooperatives. From the boardroom to the lineman on the pole, he understands how rural electric cooperatives work, operate, and succeed.

Gary earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Oklahoma State University. In his spare time, Gary enjoys spending time with family, watching auto racing, and serving those in his church and community.
